The Dream Book of Self-Knowledge

Absurdity, absurd

  • if a dream is full of bizarre and absurd images, it might consist of the Basic Perinatal Matrix archetype and, particularly, its second part in which, through "crazy" visions it resembles the absurdity of human existence and merges with ideas of the absurd farce of the world; this dream experience needs to be understood since it could create unpleasant psychological blocks (see Basic Perinatal Matrix archetype)
  • similar absurdity can emanate from mythological themes stored deep in the human psyche; here too there is a need to find an analogy with mythology and try to uncover the meaning of dream images.
  • during a truly deep transformation of memories, things and relationships that in retrospect were once quite normally viewed are transformed, often becoming slightly grotesque and absurd.
