The Dream Book of Self-Knowledge

Barracks

  • path to barracks: symbolizes increasing inner discipline and the subconscious urge to submit to discipline from which the dreamer subconsciously senses freedom (in not desiring).
  • arriving at barracks: if the path is lined with images of an instinctual level, then this is a positive attempt to deal with one's instincts and the willingness to fully submit to discipline; if the path is lined with emotional personifications and emotional symbols then we are subconsciously trying to abandon them and, through inner discipline, head for spiritual symbols.
  • people preventing the dreamer from entering the barracks: instinctual personifications for whom discipline is a greatly restrictive factor (assimilation of the instinctual part is a welcome enhancement for emotional personifications).
  • leaving barracks: if the path is lined with images of an instinctual level, this is a negative result of the inability to submit to discipline, but if the path is lined with emotional personifications and emotional symbols or if we are heading for spiritual symbols, then this is the correct result of inner discipline.
  • animals in the barracks: inner discipline has helped degenerate animalistic instinctual personifications or prevented their free movement.
  • distinct symbols that we notice in the barracks can tell us how inner discipline will end up.
