The Dream Book of Self-Knowledge

Soap

  • fragrance of soap: the dreamer has heeded the call for moral purity.
  • washing with soap, soaping others: soap as a means of moral purity in dreams can change the point of view and also the dreamer's approach to previous common problems; it can sometimes be a means for better inner experiences, but can also arouse sexual desire in an instinctually thinking person.
  • molding soap: the dreamer is molding himself in morally purer contours; the most important meaning is determined by the molded shape (see individual shape).
  • has the power to dramatically transform the dream setting so that the dreamer, who has become morally pure, can confront the contents of his own psyche; the symbol's culmination is transformation (witnessed and experienced).
