- mousetrap: symbolize the dreamer's active behavior aimed against increasing loss of vitality.
- computer mouse: symbolizes the dreamer's ability to actively control through his will.
- a cat catching a mouse: elimination of earthly, primitive thoughts in favor of the instinctual symbol of the cat.
