Hearing

  • an intense sound: see Noise.
  • not hearing any sound: see Deafness.
  • voices: see Voice.
  • an ironic voice: the unconscious is making a parody of some wrongful behavior and trying to correct the dreamer's attitude.
  • a voice from a radio: significant events can affect the dreamer's peace; visions of the future also appear in the same way (see Past and Future Visions archetype).
  • own name: someone close to you needs help; the calling can alert the dreamer to his own negative acts committed sometime in the past so that now through positive actions his karmic debts can be paid (Law of Karma*34); guilty conscience.
  • hearing a horn, klaxon as a warning: be careful in the near future.
  • Fanfare: a celebratory moment or the possibility to rise on the social ladder is approaching, but beware: fame and ascent have their dark sides and usually a dream in other symbols warns of this threat.

  • knocking: timid sexual desire.
  • others stuttering: you are easily asserting your opinion.
  • animals: see individual animal.
  • songbirds: symbolizes a heart filled with joy.
  • a cow (sheep) bell: happiness and a foretelling of a pleasant period.
  • French horn: a dangerous attack, hostility.
  • a millwheel clack: everything is going according to plan.

  • of infidelity: warning of moral decline to the level of instinctual living; warning of degradation of feelings.
  • repeated wounds (blows): auditory representation of intercourse.
