Sports

  • sports arena, stadium: depends on which sport is meant to be played in the arena or stadium; we can then determine the level on which the dream is taking place; (see Exercise or individual sports).
  • spectator: wastefulness, waste of precious time.
  • sporting event: belongs to the instinctual level since the rhythm of sports has a clear relationship to sexuality; competitions and honors belong to the Treasure archetype and are often fulfilled past wishes (especially for former athletes or fans).
  • symbolizes egotistical experiences, the desire to be seen and from an emotional or spiritual standpoint a futile waste of time,
  • admiration for athletic achievements: does not have in the unconscious a more substantial meaning and is only a means for achieving the goals of one's personality and strengthening the ego (see Treasure archetype); shifts the dreamer to the instinctual level, since the rhythm of sports has a clear relationship to sexuality.
  • a rematch in sports: does not have in the unconscious a more substantial meaning and is only a level for achieving the goals of one's personality and strengthening the ego (see Treasure archetype); the sport often concerns the dreamer’s instinctual level (see individual sports).
  • water sports: see water sports.
  • athletic Olympics: the subconscious effort to unify the instinctual (athletics and strength sports) and sometimes even the emotional level (water sports); see Olympics; wastefulness, waste of precious time.
  • sports honor: a means of applying the ego (see Treasure archetype); the rhythm of sports (not including water sports) has an undeniable link to sexuality.
  • target shooting competition: entails all negativity of shooting – see Firearm.
  • talent in a sport (except for water sports): related to building the ego in the instinctual realm.
  • talent in water sports: related to building the ego in the emotional realm.
