- our civilization is currently so "riddled" with automation that this symbol will often appear in dreams; any automatic machine or automatic equipment will represent a self-operating process, on which the dreamer will only have minimum influence, and will usually have the choice whether or not to use the automatic machine or process.
- automatic machine or machine operating unattended: symbolizes a person's automatic behavior, actions, feelings and thoughts; a similar image encourages the dreamer to abandon ordinary human life "on autopilot"*44 (see Attentiveness archetype).
