The Dream Book of Self-Knowledge

Forgiveness

  • forgiving a culprit: in the beginning the dreamer forgives the small transgressions of others; and gradually learns to forgive increasingly greater transgressions until he is eventually able to forgive culprits and the worse transgressions against others and against himself; he then sees in the behavior of the culprit a blind egotism and mainly the effect of the Law of Karma*34, which clearly states that by forgiveness the culprit is not freed of guilt, but only the person, whom the negative act affects, is freed from negative thoughts, which ultimately means the release of karmic tension.
  • nullifying anger through forgiveness: this image establishes peace of mind that determines the successful mastering of the self-improvement process.
